If you spend any time in the Toronto interior design world — or really, in any corner of the design internet — you've likely come across Rebecca Hay. Designer, podcast host, business coach, and one of the more recognizable voices in the Canadian design space, Rebecca is someone whose brand is always in motion. New content, new projects, new audiences. Keeping up with that kind of pace requires a steady supply of fresh, on-brand imagery — and that's where we come in.
We've had the privilege of photographing Rebecca across multiple shoot days over the years, and what's made that relationship work is a shared understanding of what her brand needs and how to deliver it efficiently. Shoot days with Rebecca are well planned and intentional — multiple outfits, multiple setups, maximizing every hour so that she walks away with a library of content rather than a handful of photos.
One of the genuine advantages of photographing an interior designer is the setting. Rebecca works in beautifully designed spaces — her own office and studio among them — and they photograph exactly as you'd expect: impeccably styled, thoughtfully layered, and entirely reflective of her aesthetic. We didn't need to build or borrow a set. The environment was already doing the work.
For someone with Rebecca's visibility and output, refreshing brand photography a couple of times a year isn't a luxury — it's a practical necessity. Audiences notice when imagery starts to feel dated, and keeping your visual presence current signals that your brand is alive and evolving. It's something we'd recommend to anyone who relies heavily on their online presence to attract clients — but that's a longer conversation for another post.
What we'll say here is that working with Rebecca over time has been one of the more rewarding ongoing relationships we've had. Watching a brand grow and being the people trusted to document it — that's the kind of work we're always looking to do more of.
If you're a business owner, entrepreneur, or creative whose brand lives online, we'd love to talk about what a branding shoot could look like for you :)
