Christie Cross is one of Toronto's most beloved cyclocross races, held annually at Christie Pits Park in the heart of the city. A 3km technical course that winds through sand, grass, gravel, and pavement— past the community garden, up and down the banks of the steep pit— it's the kind of race that brings out the best in both riders and spectators.
Cycling photography is a passionate part of our work, driven by Ethan's deep involvement in the riding community across Ontario and British Columbia. From mountain biking and cyclocross, dirt biking, and long distance endurance rides, this work comes from lived experience, not observation from the sidelines. We photograph cycling with an understanding of the sport— how riders move, where the effort shows, and what moments matter most. The focus is on dynamic, honest imagery that captures grit, connection, and the environments riders move through.
The course and atmosphere at Christie Pits offer something genuinely interesting as spectators line the banks close enough to feel the race, riders are pushing hard through technical sections, and the urban park setting creates a backdrop that's unlike anything you'd find at a rural course. It's gritty, communal, and alive, and the images reflect that.
Our approach to cycling photography is well suited for brands, events, publications, as well as community storytelling. If you’re a brand looking for cycling photography that reflects the culture from the inside, we’d love to hear from you :)
